Alice P. Hunt, 71, of Lafayette passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at IU Arnett Hospital. She was born May 7, 1942, in Boswell to the late Arnett and Mildred Gregory Rainwater. Alice graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1960 and Ivy Tech State College in 1977. On May 8, 1976 she married Brian Hunt in Lafayette and he survives. Mrs. Hunt worked at Home Hospital/ St. Elizabeth East for 34 yrs as a Phlebotomist/Respiratory Therapist. She was recently employed at Sue Associates. She was a member of a Bunco Club and enjoyed crocheting, photography and loved gardening. Surviving along with her husband are her children James D. Schneider of Lebanon, Paul A. Schneider of Lebanon, Deborah A. Schneider of Ft. Wayne, step children Brian Lee Hunt II of Lafayette, Gregory A. Hunt of Mountain Home, ID, Penelope Belle Hunt of Roanoke, VA, 4 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. Also survivng is her brother Glenn Rainwater (Violet) of Lafayette and a sister Donna Lee (Ronnie) of Lafayette. Alice was precedced in death by a sister Mary Ellen Pyatt. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West. Funeral Service 10:00 AM Friday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, Chpl. Randall Adams officiating. Burial will be at Meadow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Alice's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
