Alex Blake Van Dalsen, 21 of Lafayette passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Lafayette.

He was born December 20, 1999 in Lafayette. Alex graduated from McCutheon High School.

He enjoyed roller skating, hiking trails, spending time with family and friends, seeing old cars and trucks, and watching the sky.

He loved to make people happy and he was always helping someone.

Surviving are parents, Jennifer Van Dalsen and James Dillsworth of Lafayette. grandmother, Rogene Loepker, two sisters, Morgan Danaher of Lafayette and Kirsten Hammond (Cory) of Clarkshill, nephew, Eli Hammond and niece, Rose Hammond, brother, James Dillsworth Jr of Lafayette, uncle, Greg Van Dalsen of Lafayette,

partner, Genesis Northcutt of Attica, best friend, Cassie Dick of Lafayette, along with lots of cousins and friends. Also surviving is Alex’s biological father, James Danaher and his family.

Alex was preceded in Death by grandpas, Ed Van Dalsen and Mike Danaher.

Friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette. Rev. Kurt Freeman will be officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow View Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Pride of Lafayette.

My daughter and son Lexe and Ethen were close with Alex in highschool, they spent a lot of time on our farm riding four wheelers and getting muddy. Lexe and Alex liked racing Alex’s mini bikes up and down the street. Definitely gone way to young, rest easy young soul.
