Aaron passed away on March 6th 2024 at the age of 46. He is survived by his mother Nona Schaler and his three sisters. Emily Whiteman, Katie Schaler, and Clair Schaler. He is also survived by his dog Bruce. He loved and was loved by so many, always wanting to be a friend and to see you succeed. He was loyal, a comfort to many, and a great dancer. His celebration of life will be held on Tuesday the 12th of March at the Basile Theatre at the Historic Athenaeum in Indianapolis Indiana 401 E Michigan St, Indianapolis, IN 46204 from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF via https://gofund.me/c61d190f

There are no words adequate to say how terribly heavy this feels. It is not possible to imagine what it's like for Nona and the rest of Aaron's family. My deepest condolences.

Aaron was, indeed, a friend to so many, including me. All love and light to you, young friend, and sincere condolences to the family.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

So terribly sorry for your loss. Although I never had the priviledge to meet him, I know he was a light in his Mother's life, taken too soon. Peace and hold his memory

Aaron was always there for me and I was always there for him. That is a rarity in politics, but then Aaron was a rare and fine human being.

Aaron will be missed sorely by so many lives that he's touched. I will never forget his smiles, laughs, or amazing hugs. He was the brother I never had.

For Aaron, who brought light and heart to so many.

Aaron is an absolute light, with wonderful energy, humor, and kindness. His kindness stands out to me most. He always wore a wonderful smile, and always had a funny comment or quip ready to go. He will be so deeply missed. There are no good words - I am sending you love and light. Aaron’s love and light rippled, and continues to ripple.
