Wardina Randolph, 88
Johnny Wardina Randolph, 88, of Lafayette, died at 11 p.m. Friday Sept. 2, 2011, at Regency Place.
She was born March 10, 1923, in Bennington, Okla., to the late Bartice and Lucille Faulkner Riddle, and step father George Roth. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1941.
She married Woodrow Randolph on Aug. 17, 1941, in Indianapolis. He died on Jan. 29, 1964.
Mrs. Randolph worked at ALCOA as a secretary during WWII, Best Built Lumber Co. as a secretary, and Harvey Realty as a realtor. She owned and operated Star Realty and later merged with Bouwkamp Realty retiring from there.
She enjoyed traveling to her favorite place, Marco Island, reading, time spent with her family and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a registered native American of the Oklahoma Choctaw Tribe, a member of the First Christian Church and Serendipity Club at First Christian, a member of National Secretary Association, now known as International Association of Professionals. She was also an active member of the Newtone Fitness Club since 1994, and the Ladies Auxiliary Merou Grotto, as member and past president.
Survivors include two daugthers, Cindy Golden, (husband: Richard) and Deborah Clampitt (husband: Robert), both of Lafayette; a son, Bruce Randolph (wife: Paula) of Lafayette, and a sister, Mary Roth of Lafayette.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Denise Marsh, Kimberly Childers (husband: Greg), Belinda Dewey (husband: Troy), Brent Randolph, Troy Wallen, Jay Clampitt (wife: Tracy), Will Clampitt (wife: Ashley), Sarah Clawson (husband: Brian), and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Rev. Greg Eberhard officiating. Even though we lived a distance apart, your Texas relatives will miss Wardina. We enjoyed so much getting to see her during her visits to Sherman those many years and corresponding with her about all our wealth that we were going to have from our land we owned....
