Roberta “Maxine” (Boots) Webster, 98, of West Lafayette, passed away October 2, 2024, at Westminster Village in West Lafayette.
She was born February 25, 1926, in Lafayette, to the late Allen C. and Neva (Ward) Boots. She was a graduate of Darlington High School and attended Purdue University. On September 27, 1946, Maxine married Dr. Paul L. Webster, MD in California. Paul preceded her in death on August 23, 2004.
Maxine was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Legonier and West Lafayette Chapters. She was a volunteer at St. Elizabeth and Franciscan Health Lafayette East for many years. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, and gardening. Above all, she cherished time with her family.
Maxine is survived by 3 children, Marcia (Craig) Shaffer of Green Valley, AZ, Dale (Linda) Webster of Lafayette, and Nina (Pete) McGlade of Hilton Head, SC; 6 grandchildren, Megan Shaffer, Ian Shaffer, Ryan Timmons, Tammy (Blake) Veit, Julie (Eric) Bray, and Paul W. (Rosie) Webster; 2 step-grandchildren, Dwayne Osborn and Joy Gorringe; 10 great-grandchildren, Logan Shaffer, Barrett Timmons, Emerson Timmons, Remi Timmons, Mackenzie Veit, Kennedy Veit, Jada Noir, Hayden Bray, Faith Bray, and Hope Bray;5 step-great-grandchildren, Sydney Osborn, A.J. Osborn, Kayla Gorringe, Jayna Gorringe, and Elaina Gorringe.
Along with her husband, Dr. Paul L. Webster, MD, and her parents, Allen and Neva Boots, Maxine was preceded by a son, Ronald Webster; daughter-in-law, Denise Webster; and 2 brothers, Maurice Boots and twin brother, Max Boots.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm (noon), Monday, October 7, 2024, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909 with Rev. David Webster officiating.
Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 North, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
