Max E. Harrison

Max E. Harrison, 88, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.  He was born June 25, 1937, in Frankfort, IN, to the late Eugene and Mildred (Innis) Harrison.

Max graduated from Jackson High School in Clinton, County, Indiana and served in the US Army.  On May 3, 1964, he married Carolyn Boyland in Mechanicsburg, Indiana and she preceded him in death in August of 2006.

Max was a pipe fitter with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union #157 for over 30 years and retired in 2009.  He enjoyed woodworking with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his children Jane E. (Terry) Jones, Karen J. (Tim) Poe all of Lafayette, Max E. (Brenda) Harrison, Jr. of Fowler, grandchildren Thomas (Kelsey) Truex, Travis Poe, Mike (Rachael) Truex, Ryan (Olivia Frye) Poe, Brad Jones, Mary (Kevin) Bracht, Jessica (Jordan) Robinson, great grandchildren Samuel Poe, Kelly Jean Truex, Veda Gentry, Zach Robinson, Brinley, Elliott and Bostyn Robinson.

Also surviving are his sisters Mary Chupp of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Sharon Shepherd of Frankfort, Indiana.  Max was preceded in death by two grandchildren Kelly Truex and Kevin Poe.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.

Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Robby Wood officiating.  Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lafayette, IN.
