Mary Ann Wilbanks, 70, of Brookston, went to be with Jesus at 8:50 p.m. April 2, 2013. She was born November 21, 1942, to the late Roy Clayton and Marie Ella (Tatman) Stover- Clawson. On September 13, 1958, she married the love of her life Marion Robert Wilbanks at her parent's home in Brookston. Marion Survives. Mary attended Brookston Schools through the ninth grade and later received her GED. Mary alongside her husband farmed several years raising milk cows, hogs, chickens, and making gardens. Mary worked at RCA in Monticello for 13 years and was also a homemaker. She was a Pink Lady at Home Hospital for several years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and crocheting many blankets for her family. She loved to sing, read the Bible and share with everyone she met about Jesus. Mary was a member of Christ Church of Lafayette. Surviving along with her husband is five children, Darla (John) Bridge, of Monticello, Danette (Delwin) Kirby, of Farmer City, Ill., Jeffrey (Chun Hui) Wilbanks and Steven (Denise) Wilbanks, both of Brookston and Kristy (Robert) Taylor, of Rockville; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen (Karen) Stover; a sister, Judy (Dale) Bartlett, both of Brookston; several nieces and nephews; and one very special cat, Kevin Charlie “Fat Cat”. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Phylis Stover and Janet Rizoff; and a step-father, James Clawson. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with a funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Christ Church of Lafayette with Rev. Dr. Ronald Minor officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Brookston. Those wishing may contribute in her name to the American Diabetes Association or the Donor's Church Mission Fund.
