Martha was indeed a special person--intelligent, lively, curious, open, loving. She was the perfect aunt in many ways--willing to expose her authentic self and talk through big life events. She was an inspiration to me because of her sense of adventure, her great writing skills, her great laugh, and her rebellious (but still controlled and thoughtful) personality, I remember her in her mini-skirt, red-haired young NYC days, her mom-with-young-kids days in Virginia, and her reflective, fun older self. What a gift it has been to know and love her! I will be lonely for her.

Heartfelt condolences to the family of Marty Mann. I met her shortly after she moved to Westminster Village, and we discovered we had areas of common interest around ministry. I am a retired Disciples of Christ clergywoman, and Marty and I met several times in Mendelsohn Hall for conversation. When Covid restrictions kept us in our apartments, we spoke occasionally on the phone. She spoke very fondly of Bob Ricci and reminisced about their times in Florida. I will continue to miss her gentle personality.

As a close friend to Paul and friendly acquaintance to Marcus - I was moved by this beautifully written send off to a woman that lived a vivid and robust life. I did not know Martha but I can say with certainty that the joy and love she shared with her children shaped them into the amazing people they are. I smiled and cried reading this thinking about my friend Paul and how much he embodies the spirit of his mother. Even though we grieve the loss - we can take solace in the fact that she lived an incredible life and her passions and love have been channeled through her children and grandchildren. Proshai Martha
