Mark Edward Tschaenn, 64, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.
He was born on December 3, 1961, in Lafayette to James and Catherine (Lane) Tschaenn.
Mark graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1981. He then went into the Air Force, where he served our country for 12 years. After leaving the Air Force, Mark attended Atlanta Bible College and became a minister. He was a minister for 30 years. While he was busy preaching God’s word, he also worked a job. In his adventures, he worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and he became a teacher. Mark loved working with the youth in his ministry and in the schools. He made such an impact on the youth through the church and the schools.
Mark was a man of many talents. He played guitar, did woodworking, played trivia games, and loved NASCAR and Indy car racing. Mark loved being around people, especially his family.
Mark has been married to Terri (Miller) Tschaenn for 43 years. They have three children: Jennifer (Brian) Haynes, Nathan (Rebecca) Tschaenn, and Christina (Caleb) Fulton.
He has six grandchildren whom he loved very much: Evelyn, Elijah, Eleanor, Allyson, Oliver, and Cora.
Mark is survived by his parents, James and Catherine Tschaenn, his wife, Terri, his children, Jennifer, Nathan, Christina, his sister, Donna (Brett) Casey, brother, Jason Tschaenn, and four nieces: Brittany Timmons, Sabrina Storms, Alyssa Tschaenn, Jenna Tschaenn.
Visitation and Viewing will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026 followed by interment, meal and fellowship on premises at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St, Indianapolis, IN.
