Linda K. Miller, 73, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at The Springs at Lafayette.
She was born May 28, 1952, in Prestonsburg, KY, to Kyle and Anna Marie (Hackworth) Prater.
Linda graduated in 1970 from Akron High School and then attended Manchester University.
She was married to Gary Wann and they had two children together. She then married Rickey Miller on October 14, 1995, and they enjoyed many years of family fun and adventures together.
Linda spent over twenty years taking pride in working for Purdue in a variety of roles. She later followed her passion and entrepreneurial spirit for working with people by becoming a realtor for the local community. Prior to fully retiring, she worked part-time at Macy’s and made lasting friendships; most notably Janet and Jamie.
Linda loved spending time with family and rarely missed a game when it came to cheering on her son and grandchildren, from T-ball to college football. She was also an avid fan of Purdue sports and professional football. She shared her creativity and love through her talent for crafting and cooking for others. She also enjoyed traveling to the mountains to see the changing seasons and to the beach for beautiful sunsets. Above all, she valued being present for the moments that mattered most.
Surviving are her husband, Rickey Miller; her children, Beth (Jason) Segal and Seth (Roberta) Wann; his children, Ann Miller, Andrew Miller, and Christopher Miller and their families, all of Lafayette; her mother, Ann Marie Prater; grandchildren Jadrid and Brendan Segal, George and Samuel Miller; and great-grandson Grayson Segal. She is also survived by her siblings, Glenda (Jim) Wann of Evansville, Chester (Terri) Prater of Bluffton, Jeffery Prater of Rochester, and Norman (Kathy) Prater of Akron.
Linda was preceded in death by her father Kyle Prater and sister Brenda Prater Smith.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette. Pastor Dwight Herin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Natalie’s Second Chance, or Jefferson High School athletics. Organizations supporting causes very dear to her.
