Larry L. Campbell, 81, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Franciscan Health East.
He was born May 18, 1940, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Paul and Juanita Siefers Campbell.
Larry was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and attended Indiana Business College.
On July 31, 1965, he married Melba Rose in Lafayette and she survives.
Larry worked for Purdue University for more than 40 years, retiring from the School of Chemical Engineering in 2011.
He was a member of Victory Christian Center of West Lafayette, IN. Over the years, Larry served in several areas of the church and always loved helping and ministering to others.
Larry loved being a grandpa and a great-grandpa the most. He enjoyed working in the yard and tending to his roses.
Larry was an avid Boilermaker and Colts fan.
Surviving are Wife, Melba Campbell of Lafayette, IN, two sons: Aaron Campbell (wife Christina) of Lafayette, IN, and son, Kevin Campbell of Candler, NC. Four grandchildren; Aaron, Mekenzie, Braeden, and Phenix Campbell, and three great-grandchildren; Tristin and Akai Campbell, and Shytavia Melancon. One brother, Richard Campbell, and one uncle, Mart Siefers.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Paul F. Campbell, his mother, Juanita Campbell, and grandson Evan Noel Campbell.
Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm on Thursday September 30, 2021, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., followed by the service at 2pm. Officiating Pastors Bill and Pam Mickler. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens West Lafayette, IN.
