Judith “Judy” A. (Tull) Carte, 84, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital, in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born March 18, 1941, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Charles Calvin and Pauline Helen (Jackson) Tull. John S. Carte, Judy’s love of her life, married on May 24, 1959. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Chapter for over 50 years. Judy enjoyed quilting and reading. She was very talented creating ceramics and was a very good cook. She always kept the tradition to make, “Corned Beef and Cabbage”, on New Years’s Day, for good luck. Judy loved family dinners, even with all the chaos from the great grandchildren.
Judy worked as a Customer Services Rep. for Kohls and was a school bus driver for the Tippecanoe School Corporation for many years. She also was a beautician and enjoyed going to St. Elizabeth Hospital to make the ladies beautiful, while they were in the hospital. Judy enjoyed bowling for many years at Market Square Lanes, in the Playmore League on Thursday afternoons.
In loving memory, Judith is cherished by her husband, John S. Carte; her daughter, Lori J. Carte and her daughter, Mary B. (Daniel E. McGrew II) McGrew; her grandchildren, Justin Walker, Tess Walker, Becca Walker, Brooke (Bryan) Stevens, Blake (Megan) Schultz, Chad (Tessa) Schultz, Nick (Jasmine) McGrew, Beau McGrew, Wendy (Tony) Dulin, JC Carte; and 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Ron (Gini) Tull, and Connie (Jim) Beouy.
