Ivan John Sila

February 10, 1951 - February 28, 2022

Ivan John Sila, 71, of West Lafayette, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Franciscan Health East.  He was born February 10, 1951, in Ozalj, Croatia, to the late Stjephan and Marija (Kirincic) Sila.

On November 4, 1978, he married Kathy Yagunich in East Chicago, IN.  John worked in the maintenance department at Home Hospital and later with the Carpenters Union Local 215.  John enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.  Surviving are his daughters Debby H. Sila of Columbus, Diana K. (Nolan) Arihood of Nashville, granddaughter Stella Arihood.  Also surviving are his siblings Stjepan (Katica) Sila of Croatia and Anna (Joseph) Stankovich of Dyer.  John was preceded in death by his brother Joe Sila. No service is planned at this time.
