Evelyn Lucille Deckard, 81, of Buck Creek, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at her residence.

She was born March 31, 1944, in Lafayette, to the late Homer Wayne and E. Elizabeth (Hagerty) Deckard.

Evelyn graduated from East Tipp High School in the class of 1962.

She had worked at Landis Gyr for over 30 years before retiring.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting, bowling, flower gardening, getting her nails done and camping.

Surviving are children, Eric Ledman of Buck Creek, Evette Nutt of Lafayette and Troy (Melissa) Ledman of Delphi. A brother, Frank (Bonnie) Deckard of Phoenix, AZ, and a sister, Gladys Tolen of Lafayette. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Ledman.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.
