On August 5, 2024, Estelle Ringel (Neuman), beloved wife of the late Robert, adoring mother of Stuart (Kerri) Ringel of Scottsdale, AZ and Mark (Susan) of Pepper Pike, OH. Devoted grandmother of Steven, David and Natalie Ringel, Bradley (Dr. Brittany Levy) and Richard (Amy Levey) Ringel, great grandmother of Teddy and Nate. Dear sister of the late Jules Neuman, sister-in-law of Harriet Ringel and Aunt of Lewis Ringel. Estelle was born in 1936 and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She was a lifelong fan of the Dodgers and later, the Cubs. After Estelle and Bob married, they moved to West Lafayette, IN where they raised their sons. Estelle was very involved with the Sisterhood of Temple Israel and cheered on her sons at all their sporting events (she washed a lot of athletic uniforms in her day!). Estelle was a quiet but diehard fan of the Purdue Boilermakers. She is remembered for saying, “Purdue only wins when I don’t watch…so I better not watch!” Estelle was crazy about her grandkids who enjoyed the endless supply of homemade chocolate chip cookies she baked and who were amazed how she could “talk sports like no other Grandma”. Estelle was very bright, tough to beat at Scrabble, well-read, humble, and a kind and loyal friend. Family was at the center of all she did. We will miss her greatly.
