Elizabeth A. (Toth) Barger, 82, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at St. Anthony Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Lafayette.
She was born September 9, 1942, in Hicksville, OH to the late Nicholas and Mary Toth. She was a graduate of Hicksville High School and attended nursing school in Fort Wayne. On August 19, 1972, she married Richard K. Barger. Richard preceded her in death on May 1, 2018.
Elizabeth worked as a nurse for 32 years. She was an avid collector of all things, bears, baskets, and antiques and loved spending time at her lake cabin. Aside from the lake, the beach called to her and she loved spending time there. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, she loved spending time with them and watching them grow.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Michele (Robert) Darnell of Lafayette and Nicole (Scott) Golden of Indianapolis and 4 grandchildren, Andrew Golden, Chloe Golden, Grant Darnell, and Isabella Darnell.
Along with her husband, Richard Barger; her parents, Nicholas and Mary Toth, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Silvers and a brother, Francis Toth.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm (noon) until time of service at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Kevin Bowers officiating.
