When I was anew professor in the Chem Department at Purdue, Joe was most welcoming to me and made me feel at home. That feeling has not changed in all the years since. I am retired now, but I still remember him with fondness.

Deepest condolences to Mrs. Wolinsky, Kharry, Becca, Michael and Julie, My favorite memory of Dr. Wolinsky is a fairly recent one—when LK and I sat in the WoWo’s Westminster apartment a few years back following the West Side Semistate football game that sent them to the state championship—Dr Wolinsky play by play on his iPad and me on my phone. It was so special to be able to experience with them. As might be expected most of the conversation was we women talking a mile a minute. Now and then Dr. Wolinsky would chime in with a pithy comment. We all agreed that West Lafayette, a place that I left more than forty years ago, is a truly special place. It is people like the Wolinskys that made it so during my high school and college years and now decades later. Sending my love and fervent wish that your memories of Dr. Wolinsky provide comfort today and in all your tomorrows. With love, Nancy Karpick Nell Th

My dear 2nd extended family, I will miss the formal opportunity to say "good bye" to Joe. What a doll he was, always interested in what everyone was doing. He certainly had a full and wonderful life that you can all look back and share your memories. Miss and love you all. Susie Fineman
