I have so many fond memories of Eileen. She was always fun, smart, and interested. She taught me so much about people with “disabilities”. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. My deepest condolences to her Kristal and the rest of the family, and her many friends and loved ones. She left a legacy.

Eileen was my friend for almost 40 years - while I will miss her calls and notes, I know she is resting safely in God's loving arms, rested, restored, and ready for her heavenly home!

My friendship with Dr. Eileen Spurgeon goes back to 1988, when she studied at Faith Baptist College and Seminary where I was serving as President. Besides being a student, over the years she became a dear friend. Several times when I preached in Dayton,OH she found a way to travel there for the service, and once she came to Greenville, SC to visit. Many a time I received a call from her to chat and let me know of her prayers. The world has lost a great saint, but heaven is richer for her arrival. I miss her prayers already, but look forward to meeting her again on resurrection ground! "Blessed are they who die in the Lord, for henceford they shall rest from their labors, and their works do follow them." (Rev. 14:13).
