Deanna Lee Morris

Deanna Lee Morris, 67, passed away peacefully October 3, 2024, in her home surrounded by family. 

She was born March 7, 1957, in Sacramento, CA to Verona May Bell. She was a graduate of O’Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, LA.

An artist with a talent for drawing, interior design, and playing the piano by ear, her true passion was simply the act of giving. Deanna treasured crafting and constructing unique gifts for those she loved and making everyone around her feel special.  With unwavering love, she cherished being a mother and grandmother. She was a strong woman of God and would never hesitate to shoot it to you straight.

On June 26, 2019, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Tom Morris. They enjoyed retirement together by traveling, chasing waterfalls, hiking, vacationing near white sand beaches and relaxing in their backyard oasis. 

Along with her husband, Deanna is survived by her mother, Verona Bell; sister Debra Marcantel; brother Ken (Neva) Marcantel; sister Darlene (Brian) Rooney; sons Cody (Kelsey)Martin and Shane Martin; stepchildren Danielle Brown and Brian Morris; niece Kesha (Mike) Bailey; nephews Daniel Woodruff and Des (Janell) Woodruff; grandson Korben Martin; and granddaughters Bella Brown and Nora Martin. 

She was preceded in death by her sister Denise Galloway and brother Curdy Marcantel.

Memorial visitation will be from 5:00 pm until time of memorial service at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Terry Chase officiating.
