Dale L. Grimes

Dale L. Grimes, 57, of Lafayette, IN, died Monday August 27, 2012 at Regency Place.
He was born June 18, 1955, in Lafayette to Richard and Mary Jean Flaningam Grimes of Hot Springs, AR.
Dale graduated from North Montgomery High School and Purdue University. On November 19, 1977, he married Della Short in Crawfordsville and she survives. Mr. Grimes worked for Vester and Associates, Tippecanoe County Surveyor Office, The Schneider Corp. and retired in 2010.
He was active in the ISPLS and was an avid Purdue fan. Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting and yellow labs.
Surviving along with his wife are his children Stephanie D. Grimes of Huntsville, AL, J.D. Grimes wife Ashley of Lebanon and a granddaughter Brooklynn Grimes. Also surviving are sisters Ann Mitchell of Hot Springs, AR and Peggy Erjavec husband Ron of Pueblo, CO.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Friday with a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Pastor Dave Wright officiating. Those wishing may contribute to the National Kidney Foundation or Purdue Alumni Assocation.
