Brian C. Peck

Brian Christopher Peck, 78, of Otterbein, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette.  He was born July 16, 1945, in Bombay, India to the late Robert Peck and Joan (Rumfitt) Peck. Upon returning to the United States, Brian attended Lafayette schools and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1963.

On December 3, 1965, he married Phyliss Ann Russell and she survives.

Brian enlisted in the US Navy on Jan 4, 1966. He and Phyliss were stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.  After Honorable discharge on August 2, 1971, they returned and rented a little house on New Castle Road.  They finally moved to Mulberry where they raised their children.

Brian worked at Lafayette Sheet Metal, Vulcan, Purdy Concrete, Exide Battery, and Rain Forest Car wash.

He enjoyed playing tricks on people, telling stories, playing cards especially Hand and Foot.  Watching his children in their activities was a very special time to him.  Brian’s heart grew bigger on the birth of his grandchildren.  He was their biggest cheerleader.

Surviving along with his wife are his children Chris (Rhonda) Peck of West Lafayette, Sarah J. (Jimmy Frazier) Pickett of Otterbein, grandchildren Jackson Frazier, Alexa Peck, Zach Peck and Jameson Frazier.

Visitation will be from 11:30 am until the time of the service at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Pastor Shan Sheridan officiating.
