Betty L. Cavanaugh, 92, of Lafayette, died at 12:29 PM Sunday February 28, 2016 at IU Arnett Hospital. She was born October 5, 1923, in Lafayette, to the late Joseph and Irene Huber Cassini. Her marriage was to Robert James Cavanaugh and he passed away on March 2, 1988. Betty worked at Purdue at the Curtis Wright Program in 1942 and the Lafayette Urban Ministry from 1972-1975. Surviving are her sons, Robert J. Cavanaugh (wife Judith), Lafayette, Bruce A. Cavanaugh (wife Jennifer) , Greenwood, Kevin L. Cavanaugh (wife Kathy), West Lafayette, 9 grand children, 15 great grand children. Visitation will be Wednesday March 2, 2016 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel followed by service at 2:00PM, Fr. Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery.
