An already grieving family has tragically lost another loved one too soon. Anthony “Scott” Freeman, age 57, has gone to be with the Lord after a long hospitalization. Born to Dale and Angela (Flora) Freeman, Scott was preceded in death by his younger brother, Michael Dale Freeman in December 2021.
Scott was a devoted husband to Amyjo, a tender-hearted stepfather to Gage Brown (Kate Perkins), and a loving father to Cameron Freeman and grandfather to Madeline and Julian Freeman. He is survived by his parents, wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as nieces, Alexa and Cassandra Freeman and nephews, Garrett, Samuel, and Caleb Freeman.
Scott graduated from Carroll County High school in Flora, IN. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and graduated from Indiana State University where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
He had several decades of dedication and leadership with State Farm.
Scott attended bible study and fellowship at Community Church of Fountaintown with Pastor Michael Smith. He attended Sunday worship service(s) with Founder and pastor of The Soldiers’ Sanctuary, Pastor Andy Horval. Visitation to celebrate Scott’s life will be Saturday, March 5th between 5-7pm at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909. A memorial service dedicated to Scott’s life with scheduled speakers, music and military honors performed by IMMHG and its Commander, Rob Montague will begin at 7pm.
