Zachary Kyle Barbour, 16, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at his residence.

He was born March 9, 2004, in Lafayette, to Thomas and Jennifer (Phillips) Barbour.

Zachary was a freshman at McCutcheon High School.

He enjoyed eating Totino’s cheese pizza for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner, playing unified football at McCutcheon, racing soapbox derby cars, playing video games and hunting with his father.

Surviving with his parents, Tom and Jennifer are a brother, Tyler Barbour and a sister, Jessica Barbour, grandmothers, Judy Phillips and Judy Barbour all of Lafayette. Also surviving is his service dog Atticus.

Zachary was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronald Phillips and Robert Barbour.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Soller- Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be given in Zachary’s name to: The parents of Zachary Barbour.

My sincere condolences. I will miss dear Zachary. Seeing him through his time at Wea Ridge Middle and then on to McCutcheon and join him there as a para I was so happy to see him grow through those years. He was such a joy to have. Definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

Zach was a kind and gentle soul. I had the opportunity to be friends with Zach and see him every day at school. He never failed to make me smile and always had a memory to share about NASCAR, Hunting with his dad, and even picking on his sister. It will be hard not having him at school everyday or having these conversations, but I know that I didn't lose a friend, I just gained an angel. My condolences and prayers to his family and may Zach Rest in peace!

Dear Zachary’s family, I was Zacharys para at MME when he was in 1st and 2nd grade. Oh the memories I have of him and Atticus !!
