Winona Marie Haynes, 85, of Lafayette, died at 5:40 AM Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Mary Health Care. She was born August 31, 1928, in Lafayette, to the late John and Catherine Leighty Neal. On Septemeber 3, 1946 she married Clarence Haynes in Elston. He died on November 12, 1997. Winona had worked at Brown Rubber, Shoppers Fair and Woolworths. She enjoyed bowling, working in the yard, fishing, woodworking and crocheting. Surviving are two sons Steve Haynes (wife Jill) of Delphi, Larry Haynes (wife Janet) of Battle Ground; a daughter Shirley Kellerman of Naples, FL; two sisters Phyllis Ravenscraft and Betty Frier both of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Kristy and Julie Haynes, Rachael Vaughan, Denise Hubertz, Kelly Johnson and Jody Watts, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three half brothers Clinton and Reldo Roudebush and Bob Neal. Visitation will be Friday 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with funeral services starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 23 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909 with J. William Overbay officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute to Alzheimer's Research.
