Wilma Jean Sharp

Wilma Jean Sharp, 82, of West Lafayette, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Central.
Born Nov. 28, 1927, in Frankfort to the late Clovis and Leota Pickard Malicoat, she graduated from Frankfort High School.
On Sept. 4, 1949, she married James M. Sharp in Frankfort and he preceded her in death Oct. 15, 2007.
Mrs. Sharp was the secretary at Sharp Abstract and Lafayette Savings Bank before retiring.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Order Eastern Star 6 in Frankfort and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.
Surviving are her children, Robert M. Sharp of Monticello and Sandra Strong (husband: William) of Lake Forest, Ill.; and sisters, Beverly Angello of Sarasota, Fla., and Sue Hayes (husband: Daniel) of San Marcos, Calif.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Friends will be received 1/2 hour prior to a 1:30 p.m. memorial service Monday at University Place, 1700 Lindberg Rd., West Lafayette. Private entombment at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Those wishing may contribute to the Trinity Mission 817 North 12th St. Lafayette, IN 47904.

Dear Sandi,

Jennifer and I just read about your Mom and we are so sorry. We want you to know that we are thinking of you and your family and our prayers are with you. We hope her suffering was minimal and that her transition was a peacful one.
