William “Bill” E. Wiseley, 60, of West Point, died at 11:11 am, Sunday, September 30, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Bill was born January 5, 1958 in Logansport to Jim “Pops” Wiseley and the late Helen (Neff) Wiseley. He was a 1976 graduate of Pioneer High School and attended and graduated from Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis. He worked at Arconic, (formerly Alcoa) as a truck mechanic for 22 years. On June 10, 2018 he married Diana (Derhammer) Jilg in Lafayette, she survives.
Bill enjoyed dinking around in the garage, working on cars, and just fixing things. He loved his Mustang, calling it his weekend therapy. Bill also enjoyed being outdoors. Above all things, Bill cherished the time he spent with his family, family meant EVERYTHING to him.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Jilg; his father, Jim “Pops” (Gladys) Wiseley; children, Renee (Kyle) Bunch and Shelly (Toby) Turner, Jennifer Lay (companion: Chris), Justin Lay; grandchildren, Jackson Bunch, Harrison Bunch, Jacob Justice, and Kye Richardson; a grand-dog, Diesel; siblings, Jane (Steve) Pease, Peggy (Joe) Pease, Jimmy Wiseley, ex-wife, Brenda Wiseley; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by: his mother, Helen Breece; a brother, Bob Wiseley; and his step-father, Jesse Breece.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm, Friday, October 5, 2018 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette with Pastor Tom Bennett officiating.
Memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be given to Grant’s House, Wabash Center, Attn: Maggie Jae Budreau, 2000 Greenbush Ave, Lafayette, IN 47904 or at www.wabashcenter.com/grantshouse or to Wabash Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
