Wilbur D Lehman 98 of Battle Ground passed away on Dec. 21, 2012 at St Anthony Health Care. He was born Oct 31,1914 in rural Carroll Co. to Philip and Laura Ulrey Lehman. Wilbur graduated from Dayton High School in 1934. On Jan 29th 1939 he married Martha A Stackhouse of Battle Ground and she survives. Wilbur was a printing pressman for the Lafayette Journal and Courier for 37 years, retiring in 1979. He also served on the Tippecanoe Twp Vol Fire Dept at Battle Ground for over 40 years. Wilbur was a member of the Battle Ground United Methodist Church for over 70 years. After retirement Wilbur enjoyed woodworking and fishing in Canada with his sons and grandsons. Besides his wife, Wilbur is survived by sons Thomas E Lehman (wife Donna) and Philip D Lehman (wife Jackie), both of Battle Ground. Grandsons Ronald W Lehman (wife Diane) and Thomas C Lehman (wife Michelle) both of Battle Ground. Granddaughters Kelly Elder of Fishers, Jennifer Lehman of Lafayette, and Jody Auberry of W. Lafayette. He has 11 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Wilbur was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother Leo Lehman and a sister Wanda Bray.
