Wanda Mae Wien, 92, of Lafayette died Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Anthony Health Care. She was born June 18, 1922, in Crawfordsville to the late Ivan and Lena Petty Todd. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1940 and Central Normal College in Danville, IN. On January 31, 1942 she married Richard Wien Sr. in Tippecanoe County and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1988. After retiring Dick and Wanda moved to Sarasota, FL and she returned 7 years ago to resided with her daughter. Wanda was a Supervisor in the Classified Advertising Department at the Journal and Courier retiring after working over 21 years. She enjoyed reading, singing, listening to Barry Manilow and watching TV especially Law and Order. Wanda was a former member of the Merou Grotto Aux and American Legion Post #11 Aux. Surviving are her children Karen Dolwick (Ron), Richard Wien Jr. (Judy), Sandra Cavanaugh, 8 grand children, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand daughter. Also survivng is her sister Linda Roberts. Wanda was preceded in death by a twin sister Waneta Reitemeier and brothers Carl and Robert Todd. The family would like to thank ALL of the staff at St. Anthony Health Care for their excellent service and care of our mother. There will be no service.
