I was so sorry to see that Walter had died. I was Paul Brunner&s daughter (he was Margaret&s cousin) and Margaret was my godmother. Jean Ann and I spent many happy days together at Dallas Lake growing up. Our families spent Thanksgivings and many other holidays together too.
When our Christmas card and mom&s to Walter were returned this last year, we wondered how he was doing. My sister Carol and I tried to contact him July 22 when our mom Virginia Brunner died in Ft. Wayne. I told my sister I would check online one more time this week and I discovered his obituary. If we had known about his death, we would have come to the service.
Mom was also buried at Concordia, July 26, at age 94. Perhaps she and Walter are enjoying playing eucher together in heaven as they did for so many summers at the lake.
Carol and I will remember your family in our prayers.
