Virginia “Sue” Lewellen, 64, of Brownstown, formerly of Clarks Hill, died at 4:30 PM Thursday, November 6, 2014 at her residence. She was born January 27, 1950, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Robert and Doris Rees. In 1968, she graduated from Wainwright High School and went on to Porter Business College where she received an Associate's degree. On July 17, 2010 she married Jerry Lewellen Sr. in Attica. He preceded her in death in 2011. Sue worked as a secretary at Purdue University for 25 years and Bauer Family Resources for 9 years. She was a member of the Brownstown Christian Church. She enjoyed golfing, traveling with her Ya Ya Sisters, and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter, Kris (Sharp) McKinney, with her husband Ben and their three children , Alexa, Audrianna “Audri”, and Hayden all of Brownstown. She is also survived by a brother, Joe Rees, of Lafayette, a sister, Peggy Patrick, (husband Stephen) of Zionsville, and a brother, Butch Rees (wife Dixie) of Clarks Hill. She is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Joyce Rees. Visitation will be 1-3 PM Saturday, November 15, 2014, with a funeral service immediately following the visitation, both at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Pastor Brian Richard will officiate. The burial will follow the service at Mintonye Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to the Brownstown Christian Church Youth Ministry, 702 W.
