Virginia L. Bellah, 83, of Rossville died at 3:30 am, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health in Lafayette.
She was born July 27, 1933 in Rossville to the late Andrew Oscar and Orpha Eunice (Beeghley) Long. She attended Rossville High School. Her marriage was to James Leroy Bellah on January 3, 1954 in Rossville.. She was a member of First Assembly Community Ministries, Lafayette.
Virginia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading. She loved her cat Mittens, who will now miss Virginia dearly.
She is survived her husband James; her 3 children, Michael (Lynn Marie) Bellah, Janet Blackburn, Donald Bellah; 14 grandchildren, Joshua Bellah, Stephanie (Kurt) Ziems, Melissa (Jeff) Herrin, Reanna (Aaron) Ramsey, Amanda (Brent) Oakes, Jennifer Bellah, A. J. (Chatty) Blackburn, Maggie (Matt) Dale, Christopher Bellah, Micah (Michael) Meador-Bostic, Drew McCombs, Kiersten McCombs, Ryan (Chelsea) Ziems, Christopher (Amy) Ziems; 18 great grandchildren, Bryce Ziems, Kendal Ziems, Jaidlynn Herrin, Ryleigh Herrin, Lucy Herrin, Blaine Ramsey, Alexis Ramsey, Tiesoun Oakes, Cayden Oakes, Aleece Oakes, Spencer Oakes, Trey Campbell, Stevie Blackburn, Mason Dale, Haley Bellah, Ariyah Meador, MaeLea Meador, Lyrik Bostic; 1 great-great grandchild, Macie Ziems.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Green; 3 brothers, Chester, Daniel, and John Andrew Long; 2 sisters, Ruth Flory and Mary Jessup;
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, Monday, June 26, 2017 at First Assembly Community Ministries, 108 Beck Lane, Lafayette.
Funeral Service at 12:00 pm, Monday, June 26, 2017 at First Assembly Community Ministries with Pastor Adam Howard officiating.
Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lafayette.
Memorial Contributions in Virginia’s name may be given to First Assembly Community Ministries.
