Virginia Hiatt, 97, of Lafayette, passed away at 6:15 am on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at St. Mary Health Care in Lafayette.
She was born July 25, 1918, in Brookville, to the late Thomas and Edith (Cleaver) Hyde.
After graduating from Ball State University she married J. Russell Hiatt who preceded her in death.
Virginia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, was a Former member of Tri Kappa and she enjoyed crocheting, painting and traveling.
Surviving are her son, James Hiatt (wife Bonnie) and daughter, Joyce Lane both of Lafayette and two granddaughters, Brianne Lane of Bloomington and Jessica Hiatt of Lafayette.
A private family burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
