Virginia C. Love, 61, of Lafayette, died at 11:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital.
Born Dec. 17, 1948, in Columbia, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Fanny Hood Loy. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1968.
On June 14, 1969, she married Michael Love, and they later divorced.
Ms. Love had worked at Kirby Risk.
She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, scrapbooking, reading and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are two daughters, Missy Harshbarger (husband: David) of Stockwell and Mandy Armstrong (husband: Todd) of Lafayette; a brother, Jerry Loy (wife: Diana) of Lafayette; and three sisters, Doris Glaser (husband: Lowell), Ruth Jordan and Opal Phillips (husband: Jackie), all of Lafayette.
Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Kayla and Derick Harshbarger; 2 sisters-in-law, Ginny Loy and Linda Lou Loy, both of Lafayette; and her best friend since high school, Joann Gregory. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Lee Love; and 5 brothers, Morrice, Randell, Kenneth, Glenn and Donald Loy.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909. Service 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Ryan Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Vale Cemetery.
