Venita Viola Criswell, 98, of Lafayette, died at 12:25 PM Monday April 25, 2016 at St. Mary Health Care. She was born August 8, 1917, in Bloomington, to the late Henry and Ola Walker MacMillan. Venita attended Bloomington High School and on June 12, 1937 she married Robert Criswell and he passed away in 1992.

Venita was a member Battle Ground Bible Church and enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening and time spent with her family.

Surviving are her sons Robert H. Criswell (wife Aldean) of Attica, Roger Criswell (wife Joyce), Ronald L. Criswell, Russell E. Criswell all of Lafayette and Richard K. Criswell (wife Elizabeth) of Charleston, SC. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 45 great grand children and 10 great great grandchildren. Venita was preceded in death by a grandson and 3 great grandsons.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Pastor Kenny Loehe officiating. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
