Steven Eugene Luper, age 66, of Sedalia, passed away on November 17, 2019 at his residence.
Steve was born at the Frankfort Hospital in Frankfort to the late Paul Elsworth Luper, and Leona Arlene Darland-Luper on the 18th of May 1953. He graduated from Rossville School in 1971. He was married to Deborah Kay Luper.
Steve was the shop manager for Welty Custom Exteriors window factory in Frankfort for many years, he also worked for Essex Wire in Lafayette and most recently he ran his own business, Steven’s Saw Sharpening Shop, before a foot injury forced him to retire.
Some of his hobbies and things that he enjoyed were reading, gardening, nature, taking walks, long drives, woodworking, long theological debates (really just debates in general), Church, and his family.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, John William Luper
Steve is survived by his wife, Deborah Kay Luper of Sedalia, his children, Erick and Lisa Luper of Petersburg, Il, stepson, Phillip and Samantha Fields of Waynetown, Daniel (Aimee) Grudzinski-Luper of Frankfort, Christa (Roderick) Sanders of Indianapolis, Michelle Luper of Lafayette, Elizabeth (Jason) Miley of Flora, Benjamin (Kelsi) Luper of Langley, WA, Naomi and (Jacen) Calvert of Sedalia,
Joseph (Sierra) Luper of Sedalia, Hannah (Timothy) Tate of Plainview, TX, Mary Luper of Sedalia and Jonathan (Kendra) Luper of Kempton. Siblings, Marilee Joan Hall of Sedalia, Bruce (Diane) Luper, James Russell Luper, 28 grand children and one great-grandson.
His first marriage to Janet Elaine Robertson-Greer resulted in 11 children and they later divorced.
A memorial service will be held at Rossville Bible Fellowship 16 E. Cason St. Rossville, IN 46065 on November 20th at 6:00 pm.
