She was born in Fremont, Michigan, to the late William Forrest and Dorthea (Mellinger) Gilman. She attended Rossville High School. On June 23, 1962, she married the love of her life, Joseph L. Buntin, and he survives. Her church, East Side Assembly of God, and her church family was very important to her.
Surviving with her husband are their children, Todd Buntin (Rita) of Lafayette, Stacey Reagan (Butch) of Lafayette and Travis Buntin (Angie) of North Carolina. Grandchildren Jesse Buntin, Lorissa Buntin, Nikia Upchurch (Sean), Britni Bitner (Tyler), Danielle Parks (Alan), Jacob Furnace, Van Reagan (Estella), Jeremey Reagan (Kara) and eleven great-grandchildren, sisters Hope Reddington of Frankfort and Diane Kinzie(Gale) of Flora. Preceded in death by a brother, Bill Gilman, Jr.
Visitation Saturday July 21, 2018 from 10am-12pm with service to follow at 12pm at Soller- Baker Lafayette Chapel. Officiating Pastor Wayne McGuire. Interment at Meadow View Cemetery, Lafayette.
