Shirley L. Bennett, 76, of Lafayette, IN, died at 5:40 PM Saturday September 17, 2011 at her residence.
She was born September 23, 1934, in Lafayette to the late Chet and Mary Gard.
She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1952 and St. Elizabeth School Of Radiology.
On June 1, 1957 she married Richard Bennet in Medaryville. He died June 7, 1999
Shirley worked at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Home Hospital as an X-Ray technician .
Enjoyed Bowling, Spending time with family, going on vacations, and to the beach.
Surviving are Rick Bennett, Son, Lafayette, IN
Debra Ulrich, Daughter, Lafayette, IN
Mary Scott, Sister, husband Ken, Lafayette, IN
Carol Edmundson, Sister, husband John, Lafayette, IN
Aimee McMillin, Grand Daughter, husband Kevin. Lafayette, IN
Christopher Ulrich, Grand Son, Houston, TX.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service Tuesday September 20, 2011 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel
Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel
Rev. Clarinda Crawford officiating.
Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

We were very sorry to hear of your mother&s passing. Having lost my father over a year ago, we know full well the grief and sadness you are feeling right now.
