Shirley A. Patrick, 84, Lafayette, died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013, at St. Mary Health Care. She was born October 15, 1928, in Mecca, to the late Roy and Clara Charters Bartley. She was a graduate from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. On August 8, 1970, she married Ralph H. Patrick and he survives. Shirley worked for 14 years at Purdue University in the Library office and retired in 1993. Mrs. Patrick enjoyed line dancing, horseback riding, mall shopping. She was a member of the Brady Lane Church of Christ, women's group, and former secretary of the Fairview Community Center, where she and Ralph were very active; a Charter member of the Missouri Fox Trotter Horse Breeding Association. Surviving are Husband -Ralph H. Patrick, Lafayette; Daughter- Cheryl Chrobot, husband Don- Son- John D. Dees- Daughter- Debra Johnson, husband Tim – Daughter- Cynthia Graves, husband Michael; Seven Grandchildren; and Eight Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Monday, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel; Rev. J. William Overbay officiating.
