Brandon, Landon and Ava left a message on April 22, 2021:
My heart is filled with sadness and joy. Sandy was an amazing woman who would always make time for a chat when we stopped in. She bought my son his first bicycle so many years ago. I just found out today of her passing. We attended church together. My heart is filled with joy believing that she's with our Lord and Savior. Rest in Peace good and faithful servant.
Jim & Sandy Schnebly left a message on November 2, 2020:
Gary & Sandie Hauser were our insurance agents for years. Jim had insurance with them before we got married on an 12/7/1994 and I already had insurance with them since the early 1980's. We got closer to Gary and Sandie as friends about the time they were building their new house on Nelson LN. We bonded and made some trips together and liked to go to antique shows, go out to dinner and community fund raising dinners too. We were there for Gary & Sandie through Gary's many visits to St E Hospital, Heritage Nursing Home, Lafayette Rehab, out to their house to play cards often, and at First Christian Church with them when they joined the church, and attended church with them on various occasions. We were there for Gary & Sandie helping do outside work when Gary was not able to. We have been there for them when Gary left us on 6/1/2014 & helped Sandie pack up to move to her current house, she lived before her time here on earth was over and she is now in Heaven with Gary. We met with Sandie weekly For Thursday night dinner group or Mondays at El Messon for fajitas. Jeff and Sandie started going there and later Jim & I joined them. Sandie had such a giving heart and spirit. She gave of her time, talents, financial assistance, and her Love. She truly had a servants heart too. Sandie was the chair of Jubilee Christmas at her church. She purchased material on sale ahead of time to made tie blankets, she cut many blankets for others to tie, shopped for months buying items for and delivered to the church for Jubilee Christmas that served the community of low income families to make sure they had a good Christmas. She was a master of the Jubilee Christmas program. She had many other church servants who worked tirelessly to make the program a success. Today we go pay our last respects to Sandie before she is layed to rest along side Gary at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette. She will be absent from our presence and forever in our hearts. It will be a hard day to say farewell. Sandie was like a sister to me and I will dearly miss her. Our deepest sympathy to Jeff, Nikki, Cole, Klay and their girlfriends, Kurt & Carrie Hauser plus all relatives in South Dakota. Our hearts grieve with you!! Hugs to ALL!! As Christians we have the Hope of seeing her and Gary again!!

Jeff and family, We are so sorry for your loss. We wish COVID was not keeping us from physically supporting you, but it is, for now. We have lots of memories of your mom especially at the holidays when we visited. Sandie was so involved in her church activities and had a very giving spirit. God called her home and that is the peace we hang on to. We love you all.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

When I remember Sandie, I am immediately taken back to meeting her with Gary beside her. She was always so friendly, warm, and sincere. She has been such a big blessing to our church family for her care and concern of community folk. She wanted us to reach out and express to others how important they are. She will be truly missed. I thank God that He shared Sandie and Gary with us for so long.

I am deeply sorry for the loved ones left behind. It is sudden and unexpected making it so very difficult to deal with. Sandy had a spiritual heart that was giving and loving. She did so many things "behind the scenes", never seeking the limelight. I for one, saw it in action at my home. Sandy helped me sort through my late wife's personal things just two weeks ago. Heaven has a special room for her! That is our Blessed assurance. However, on this earth, she is greatly missed and we grieve mightily!
