Sandra Kay Ellington, 64, of Lafayette, died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at her residence with her daughters and mother by her side.
She was born November 17, 1947, in Lafayette, to Ray King and Goldie Ruckle King of Lafayette.
She enjoyed going to the casino boats and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Tonya King (companion: Jeff Jones) and Tammy Clark of Lafayette; two brothers, Robert King and Kenny King (wife: Jean), all of Lafayette. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Kayla Sutherland, Brandon Dunfee, Dylan Jones, Kaisie Clark, a great-grandson, Cameron Sutherland; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray King; and an aunt, Mary McElhaney.
Visitation will be from 1:00 till the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. A wake will follow the services at the Navy Club at 1905 Elmwood Ave. Lafayette, IN.

I was so sorry to hear of Sandys passing,we went to school together and I stayed over at your house many times ,you always made me feel so welcome. She was a kind,gentle soul who would help anyone in need.She was in my thoughts over the years and I will miss her. God bless you,Sandy
