Ruth “Ruthie” E. Riegle, 82, of Delphi, died at 9:41 AM Sunday August 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth East. She was born June 14, 1931, in Lafayette, to the late Ray and Farrel Mae Lively. Ruth graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School. She married Harry Burke, who passed away June 11, 1973. In July 1977, she married William “Mousie” Riegle, who passed away in 2006. Ruth belonged to the 40&8, and enjoyed league bowling over the years. As an avid sports fan, she loved to watch the Cubs and IU Basketball. Surviving Ruth, are son Bob Burke, wife Julie of Lafayette, Indiana. Daughter Jessie Schwer, husband John of Indianapolis. Daughter, Lisa Scott, of Delphi, Brother James Lively and wife Barb, of Florida. Ruth also has 8 grandchildren, Samantha, Sara, Dani, Chris, Jesse, Zachary, Natalie, and Ellen and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents, Ray and Farrel Mae Lively, and brother Joseph Lively. Visitation will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday August 28th, at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Memorial service will follow visitation at 2:00PM, in the Lafayette Chapel. Those wishing may contribute to the charity of their choice.
