Ruth Ann O'Connor, 81, of Lafayette, died at 4:50 PM Sunday, September 20, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East. She was born July 14, 1934, in South Raub, to the late Victor Hagen and Mary Lucille Bray Ritchie. She graduated from Linden High School in 1952. On April 9, 1955 she married James William O'Connor in West Lafayette and he passed away. Ruth Ann enjoyed working puzzles and cooking, knitting and crocheting, she made many beautiful things. She enjoyed being with her family and especially her grand children. Surviving are three daughters, Kay O'Connor, Brenda L. Smith (spouse Randy), both of Lafayette and Teresa A. Guenthner of Wichita, Kansas, a son, William P. O'Connor of Lafayette and a sister, Gerry Holt (spouse Frank) of Linden. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, and a sister Ethel Matthews. Visitation will be from 1 PM unitl the time of the service at 3 PM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Burial will follow at New Richmond Cemetery.
