Russell Myers, 75, of West Lafayette, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at IU Health Arnett Hospital.
He was born January 5, 1949, in Elgin, IL to the late Richard Myers and Anna Irene (Winger) Myers Noffsinger. He was a graduate of Nappanee High School, Nappanee, IN and earned his associate’s degree at Harrisburg Business College in Harrisburg, PA. Russell was a veteran of the United States Army, serving honorably from 1970 -1972.
Russell was a member of Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed playing chess, singing and listening to music. He enjoyed learning and reading about the civil war.
Russell is survived by his sister Anne Myers; two brothers, James (Dianne) Myers and Jerry (Tammy) Myers, two stepbrothers, Ted (Sue) Noffsinger, and Stan Noffsinger; and 13 nieces and nephews, Bonnie, Brian, Becky, Jessica, Rick, Kerry, Libby, Kevin, Lori, Wendy, Jill, Evan, and Caleb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Myers and Anna Irene Myers Noffsinger; stepfather, Ross Noffsinger; and stepsister, Joan Andrews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Indiana Veterans Home at a later date.
