Ronald Joseph Deno, 69, of West Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born September 22, 1955, in Lafayette, to the late Elbert and Loma (Ropp) Deno.  Ron graduated from Tri-County High School in 1973.  In his early twenties, he began working for his father’s business, eventually leading the business uponContinue Reading

Ron virtually saved my life. He hired me when I was in the depth of despair. I was so excited to work. I worked my tail off sealing concrete floors in factories. He was recently divorced. We often talked about his children Brandon and Courtney whom he loved. He often talked about his faith in the Lord. I thought I was a follower of Christ until I met Ron. He set an example for me to live by. I continued to work for him after I returned to Purdue. I just spoke to him a month ago trying to organize a time to meet. I’m so sad we never made that happen. Ron will be missed. My wife and I will continue to lift his family and friends up in prayer. God speed, Ron.

Peggy and Family - I’m so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. I truly enjoyed our business relationship over the years and always felt he was fair even when we disagreed. And regardless of those disagreements, he wanted to make sure it didn’t affect our relationship. A great guy and gone too early. My prayer for you all is that through the love of family and friends you soon find peace in your fond memories of him.

Many fond memories playing Basketball every Wednesday and Sunday nights. We played for several years after graduating high school at the old Wolcott gym. Ronnie was very passionate and competitive. At 5’10” and maybe 165 lbs, he could play the baseline better than most players. We often called him by his nickname, Earl “The Pearl” Monroe. The famous NBA player. He could score with his left or right hand at will. Many people know Ron as a very successful business man, and family man. My best memories of him were playing basketball. Few people I have known or coached, carry a basketball in their vehicle and regularly shoot at the gym. That is real passion. I will always be inspired by his memory. My prayers to the family during this difficult time. Steve Stitz
