Robert M. “Tony” Hahn, 70, of Lafayette, died at 1:22 a.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Indiana University Health Arnett.
He was born April 22, 1941, in Lafayette, to the late George and Maxine Lenora House Hahn.
He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1959.
On January 22, 1963, he married Elizabeth A. “Liz” Darling in Ridgeway, IL, and she survives.
Robert worked at ALCOA for 40 years before retiring on August 1,1999.
He was a member of First Free Methodist Church, ALCOA 25 year club, Golden Eagle with the Eagles. He coached baseball for several years, enjoyed playing scratch off tickets, being in the outdoors mushroom hunting and fishing, his old cars, attending yardsales and flea markets and spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved dog Molly.
Surviving along with his wife are two sons Bob Hahn (wife Duda) of Warrensburg, MO, Steve Hahn (Michelle Hahn) of Lafayette; a daughter Darlena Bright (husband Eric) of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Perry Hahn (wife Janet), and a sister Colleen Holmes (husband Tom) both of Lafayete; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a special friend, Don Eldridge (wife Angie), of Whitestown.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be 5 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Jason Lefler officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
