Robert (Bob) David Johnson, 100, of Lafayette, died at 11:29 am Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Creasy Springs Health Campus. He was born May 11, 1914, in South Dakota, to the late Clyde and Laura Shankland Johnson. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1931. His marriages were to Gladys Kelly, Rosiland Scowden-Remaly and Frances Kincade. Bob was a farmer in Clinton and Tippecanoe counties for most of his life and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Johnson enjoyed reading and working in the yard. Family was his passion Surviving are his children, Elmyra “Mae” Roark of Mulberry, Dr. Clyde Johnson (Daniele) of Newhall , CA, James R. “Rob” Johnson of Royersford, PA, Janelle Dyer of Lafayette, Jill R. Webster (Donnie) of Lafayette, and Carrie Johnson of West Lafayette, along with 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren. A large stepfamily, with 10 step children, 28 step grandchildren, and 36 step great grandchildren also survives. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Sunday, October 26th, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette chapel at 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, October 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints, Lafayette Ward at East 450 South Lafayette, IN 47909. Carlos Asay will officiate. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Garden in West Lafayette.
