Richard Mark Hostetler, 63, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at his home. He was born October 6, 1960, in Lafayette, to Richard and Carolyn (Lucus) Hostetler of Lafayette.
Mark graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1978. On February 9, 1980, he married Lori Christenberry in Lafayette, and she survives. Mark worked at Fairfield Manufacturing for over 40 years.
He was a volunteer at Wildcat Wildlife Center and was an avid Cubs fan. Mark enjoyed fishing, golfing, motorcycle riding, gun collecting and exotic birds.
Surviving along with his wife are his daughters Crystal D. (Ryan Smith) Franks of Lafayette, Shelly R. Hostetler of Idaville, grandchildren Haley “Nosey Rosey” McLaughlin, Zachery (Alicia Mason) McLaughlin, Kyler Smith, Keagan Hostetler, Ethan “BFF” Hostetler, MaKayla “Mackie Rae” Hostetler, great grandchildren Benjamin and TJ, several nieces and nephews and the Mayor Kathy Rush. Also surviving are his siblings Beth A. Smith, Tracy R. (Clint) Moore and Terry M. Hostetler, all of Lafayette. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald and Blanche Robison and Orville and Dora Hostetler. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wildcat Wildlife Center in Mark’s memory.
