R. Wm. “Bill” Levering JR., 96, of Lafayette passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Franciscan Health St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette.
He was born August 14, 1922 in Lafayette to the late Rosier W. and Alberta (Breckweg) Levering SR. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and obtained his PhD in Education from Purdue University. On August 2, 1975, he married Donna B. (Siver) Fellure at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette. R.W. worked at his Alma Mater Lafayette Jefferson High School as Principal.
R.W. was a United States Army veteran who obtained the rank of Captain and proudly served his country in World War II and Korea.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; 3 children, Edward (Diana) Fellure, Mark Fellure, Laura (José) Cabral; sister, Ruth Potter; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 5 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, James Potter.
