Princess I. Wolf, 99, of Lafayette, died at 6:25 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Rosewalk Village.
She was born May 7, 1912, in West Point, to the late Otis and Grace Doyle Wolferd. She graduated from West Point High School.
On Aug. 20, 1930, in West Point, she married Roy E. Wolf. He died Jan. 20, 1993.
Mrs. Wolf was a telephone operator for five years in Romney and Mulberry and later worked at the Dayton Post Office for 13 years.
She was a member of Dayton United Methodist Church and was a former president of both the Wayne Township Home Ec Club and Kappa Kappa Sigma. She enjoyed writing book reviews, knitting and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Tracy Wolf (wife: Tammy) of West Point and Richard L. Wolf (wife: Evelyn) of Sequim, Wash.; and two daughters, Alyce Neal of LaPorte and Nancy McClure (husband: James) of Kokomo.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leon “Bus” and Forrest “Foxy” Wolferd.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN, 47909 with Rev. Mike Dominick officiating. Burial will follow at West Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to Rosewalk Village Memory Care or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
